Tommy has organized and led international kayaking, cycling, climbing and trekking trips on four continents. He has kayaked extensively in Mexico’s Sea of Cortez, the Puget Sound, south Greenland, throughout the Inside Passage of western Canada and Southeast Alaska, the Bering Sea and of course, North Florida.  Tommy is a 35 year veteran of wilderness expeditions, guiding, and instruction.   He enjoys sharing his love and respect for the rivers, springs and coastal areas and the beauty, ease, and simplicity of paddling through these environments.  Tommy believes that to travel in these environs with safety and respect requires a high-level of skill and knowledge. Tommy is an ACA Certified Guide, Level 2 Surf Instructor and Level-4 Open-Water Coastal Kayak Instructor, and a certified Wilderness First Responder. Tommy also serves as the Florida State Director of Florida's America Canoe Association and is a TrailKeeper for the Florida Paddle Trails Association and serves on the Apalachicola RiverKeeper Board of Directors.  Tommy works to craft public policy in working with various state and federal agencies to protect the environment and to make paddling as safe and accessible.

Michael Lampman

Michael has had a career in education spanning 40 years.  He is a curriculum specialist with background in adult education and distance learning. Michael has been paddling for over 30 years and has helped scores of others learn to love kayaking as he does. A Cedar Strip boat builder, he has designed and built more than 50 kayaks. Hehas paddled more than 30,000 miles in the waters of the Southeastern US in addition to many other locations foreign and domestic.  He has also written numerous articles, reviews and trip reports appearing in kayaking publications and on kayaking related websites. Michael lives in both north Florida and coastal Maine.  He is a certified Maine Guide and an active Trail Keeper with the Maine Island Trail Association.

Fern attained her ACA L3 Coastal Instructor Certification and added the ACA Traditional Endorsement, Rolling Endorsement, Adaptive Paddler Instructor Certification, Trip Leader Training Endorsement, Sit-On- Top Surfing and SUP L-2 Instructor Certification to her achievements.

She has kayaked for over 20 years in open water, rivers, lakes and coastal environments and has been SUP’ing for 2 years.  She is passionate about Greenland/Traditional kayaking techniques and has been event organizer, mentor and assistant for many groups and organizations.   She loves to assist paddlers in developing and refining skills to help prepare them for their Instructor Certifications, and personal advancement through finesse and precision.  Fern has been traveling and coaching since 2010 with a kayak club in N.C. as well as with local outfitters and the Charleston County Park system in S.C.

Don White

Don attained his ACA L4 Open Water Coastal Instructor Certification with Dale Williams and Gordon Brown, and was named Kayaker of the Month by the ACA in 2014.  He is a multi-discipline Instructor in Sit-On-Top Surfing and SUP L-2.

He has kayaked for over 20 years in ocean, rivers, lakes, and coastal environments and has been SUP’ing for 2 years.  Don routinely introduces paddlers to the surf zone, open water paddling, navigation, and trip leading. He is passionate about assisting paddlers in developing and refining skills to help prepare them for their Instructor Certifications, improve their skills, and overall enjoyment of paddlesports.  Don has been traveling and coaching since 2010 with a kayak club in N.C. as well as with local outfitters and the Charleston County Park system in S.C.

Andy Lundberg

Andy is an artist in many aspects.  You can easily find Andy playing music at one of Tallahassee's live music venues or in his woodworking shop creating another spectacular strip-cedar kayakAs a guide and instructor Andy loves sharing the beauty and wonders of the springs, forests, and beautiful swamps of north Florida. Andy especially loves guiding overnight kayaking trips and teaching outdoor cooking skills.

 

Harry Smith

Harry has a fascination with the outdoors. He enjoys hiking, biking, fishing and kayaking the rugged terrain of Alaska all the way to the karst topography of Florida, both of which he has spent some time. However, it is no secret that his true passion lies in kayak fishing.

As a Tallahassee native, he has seven years kayak fishing experience. Ranging from battling halibut in Alaska’s harsh elements to fighting redfish and trout in and out of the oyster bars that litter north Florida’s never ending flats.  He takes great joy in introducing and teaching newcomers to the very fast growing sport.  When Harry isn’t on the water or the trails, you can find him editing footage from one of his recent adventures. Harry is a member of the Florida Trail Association and certified in adult/child CPR, AED & airway

Sherman Rosier

Sherman Rosier, is owner and founder of Fit & Functional. He has been noted as Tallahassee's fitness expert.
He holds a Degree in Physical Therapy along with being a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Personal Trainer, Wellness Coach, NSTA Certified Running Coach, Certified Resist-A-Ball C.O.R.E Instructor, Certified Nutrition Specialist, 1st Degree Black Belt in TaeKwonDo and extensive continued learning courses and workshops related to health and fitness. Sherman specializes in core functional training and post rehab conditioning. His mission is to help you physically do what you want when you want without undue stress and harm to your body.

Ed Mann

Ed Mann is an ACA Level 4 Coastal Kayak Instructor located in North Central Florida. He specializes in sea kayaking strokes, rescues, boat control and rolling.  He was a principal Instructor for the Jersey Paddler in Brick NJ until relocating to Florida. Ed taught various classes at the inaugural Garden State Sea Kayak Symposium in 2013.

Ed Mann is a Greenland Kayaking devotee and have the ACA Traditional Skills endorsement.

He has mentored at the Delmarva Paddlers Retreat, HRGF (Hudson River Greenland Festival) and TIPS (Traditional Inuit Paddlers of the Southeast) for several years. 

Ed is also the organizer of the annual Traditional Qajaqers of the South (TRAQS) event. TRAQS is an immersive Greenland kayaking weekend that includes a series of land and on-water workshops, lodging and meals as well as all instruction. Which also offers a full day Greenland paddle making class led by a nationally known paddle maker. This year's event will take place March 18-20 in beautiful Lake Placid Fl. Ed is also a former President of the Jersey Shore Sea Kayak Association and a member of the Tampa Bay Sea Kayakers.

Wayne Douchkoff

Wayne's passion is the outdoors whether exploring, learning or teaching others. As a guide and educator on the Suncoast of Southwest Florida, his joy comes from helping others have an 'aha' moment. Having led over 400 trips and instructed over 200 paddlers, Wayne has plenty of experience when it comes to paddling. Besides being an ACA/BCU instructor/coach, he holds multiple certifications and is an instructor in the University of Florida Master Naturalist Program. Best described as a lifelong learner, he isn't leaving this world until he learns everything!


Kerrie Barloga

Kerrie attained her ACA L4 River Kayaking with Dave Kessmann and is certified in swift water rescue.

She has been kayaking for over 35 years on rivers, coastal environments, surf zones and some lakes but whitewater is her favorite.   She enjoys sharing her passion for kayaking and has been assisting paddlers with basic skills, rolling, rescue techniques and water reading for most of her paddling career.
